ANSWERS:
  1. I just added a MX record and I cannot receive email?
    Additions of new MX records can take up to 60 minutes. It is advised not to try to send mail until this time period has passed. Some mail servers might cache the old mail entry.
  2. If your email server goes down, will I still receive my emails?

  • How will our remote users access their email?
    Rediffmail EnterprisePro E-Mailing System is perfect for employees who are on the go. Remote users would access their email through a web browser on any computer that is connected to the Internet. Using the Web Access feature, your employees will be able to easily check their email from home, the road, or anywhere in the world.
  • Can I use Rediffmail EnterprisePro E-Mailing System from any computer?
    Yes, you can use Webmail from any computer with a web browser and access to the Internet. For example, if you had an IBM PC computer at home with a Netscape web browser and a connection to the Internet, you could read and reply to your Webmail from home. If your friend had an Apple computer with Internet access and Internet Explorer, you could read and respond to your email from your friend's place.
    The recommended web browsers are Internet Explorer 6 and above or Netscape 7 and above.
  • Do I need special software on my computer to access Rediffmail EnterprisePro E-Mailing System?
    No. You only require a web browser and access to the Internet.
  • How much storage capacity do we have for each email user?
    Rediffmail EnterprisePro E-Mailing System allocates total space to your e-mail domain, which can be further allocated to the users email boxes as per their requirements. This option of add / remove space is available to the administrator over the admin control panel.
  • What happens when users email box reach the allocated storage limit?
    Rediffmail EnterprisePro E-Mailing system is designed to send a email reminders well in advance to the email user as well as the email administrator, mentioning that the particular user email box is about to reach the maximum allocated storage limit, and his email box, needs to be either allocated with additional space or needs to be managed by deleted some unwanted emails from his email box.
  • What is the size limit of file attachments?
    There is 20 MB limit on the size of attachments that you send using Rediffmail EnterprisePro E-Mailing System.
  • What happens if someone sends me a message that is too large?
    The message will be rejected and the person who sent the message will receive a message to indicate this.
  • Will the name of our company appear as my email address?
