Lead Auditor Training Course

This IRCA Approved five days lead auditor training equips students with the knowledge and skills required to perform audits of Food Safety Management Systems against ISO 22000, in accordance with ISO 19011. The principal aim of this course is to help participants assess the adequacy of the design, implementation and improvement of food safety management system against ISO 22000:2005 in accordance with ISO 19011.

Objectives of the course:

•  Identify the elements of Food Hygiene and Sanitation, HACCP and Quality

Management programs that are the criteria of food Safety Management Programs.

•  Should be able to develop and document Pre-Requisite Programmes

•  Able to identify CCP and Establish HACCP Plan

•  Demonstrate the processes involved in the programming, preparation,

performance, presentation of findings and post-audit activities for conducting

management system audits.

•  Have the competency to plan, undertake and report results of audits of Food

safety Management systems and to follow-up any consequent corrective

actions.

•  Outline the skills in auditing food safety management system components against criteria (such

as HACCP, GMP, Legislation, QA) by use of a generic model for the audit process.

•  Identify personal attributes, ethics and values that are desirable in competent food safety

auditors.

•  Identify the roles. Legal and regulatory responsibilities, duty of care and due diligence required

of persons conducting food safety audits, and the technical and regulatory environment in

which food safety auditors operate.

  • Those who intend to enroll themselves to IRCA/NABAT Registration Schemes of FSMS Auditors.

  • Management Representatives responsible for effective implementation and execution of FSMS.

•  Participants will be able to interpret the requirements of ISO 22000 in the context of an FSMS audit.

•  Participants will be able to check and confirm the FSMS audit objectives and carry out Information risk assessment based on information security threats to assets, inherent vulnerabilities and corresponding impact on an organization.

•  Participants will apply the ISO 22000 standard clauses appropriately in an audit situation.

•  Participants will also be able to undertake the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a FSMS audit in accordance with ISO 19011.

Duration: Five days

Certificate: Participants scoring 70% and above marks in both continuous assessment and written examination will be issued IRCA Accredited successful completion certificate and others will be given the participation certificate.
